Hi, I’m Lars. I like building useful things with good people. I like a simple life, and I’m happiest around people who are deeply absorbed in their craft.
Three things have my attention right now.
I run Pauwels Finance. I help creative, ambitious founders get clear on their numbers — so they can make better decisions and keep more of what they earn (The Profit Clarity Sprint). I also fix financial systems for larger companies when something’s broken (systems & accounting work).
I’m building internal AI tools and a Financial OS. I want finance to feel less like admin and more like a quiet system running in the background (Join the waitlist for Financial OS).
I’m getting into alternative education. I care a lot about how we teach the next generation to think clearly, about money, focus, and life, so I’m exploring online education and micro private schools. Watch on YouTube.
Few things I want the next chunk of my life to be about.
One, be useful to the future of education. I see kids struggling, and I see my younger self in them, without the tools to think clearly about money, focus, and how to live. I want to help change that. One day I’d like to homeschool my own kids, or build a small community school.
Two, build cool things with cool people. Good work, good people, real impact. That’s the bar. The rest can stay simple.
Third, build a beautiful family in an environment with good people around.
I trained as an auditor in accounting, then taught economics and finance for a few years, which is where I learned how much I like making complicated things simple. I built a finance agency, found the high-volume operations version of it hollow, and rebuilt it into what Pauwels Finance is now: smaller, sharper, focused on work and people I care about. Somewhere in there I got pulled into building software and thinking hard about education. That’s roughly where you find me now.
If any of this resonates, you need a hand with finance, you’re building in education, or you just want to make something together, I’d love to hear from you.
